Generic overlay functionality formerly available via methods inherited
by generated classes no longer appear there, resulting in a much
cleaner API. The functionality is now available via a new adapter
class, Overlay, which can be applied to any overlay object.
Above includes access to reference information, so formerly generated
API methods to inspect references for selected objects
With this change we will adopt semantic versioning for this project going forward.
