Redirection without a "allow/deny" dialogue

For the last week or so, I've been connecting to the internet through a VPN server in Germany. The IP addresses seem really dirty, and they're blocked/flagged by many services

Anyway, I was trying to access [http://archive.is]() when I'd be inexplicably redirected to [https://archive.fo](), without the usual dialogue of "allow, deny, add rule". The site is behind Cloudflare. I have NoScript and both domains are not allowed (NS is set to globally block scripts, except whitelisted sites). The HTTP URL gets redirected, but not the HTTPS.

I've used the VPN's DNS servers, and then again many of the OpenNIC project servers. The result is the same. (of course the DNS cache was purged between attempts).
