System not recognizing an academic email #65

Describe the bug I'm trying to become a verified author on Research Hub, but the system does not seem to recognize my academic email address (@uqtr.ca). Perhaps because I am from smaller University in Canada?

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. Scroll down to '....'
  4. See error

Thanks for reporting @pnarbi.

We are currently working on an entirely new verification system that is more robust and will replace the current one. I will send a message here when this is released so you can proceed with the new verification system

Hi Kobe,

Thanks for your reply - I feel like the issue was that I needed to open an account first, verify my email, then get verified author. I think I did the right thing afterwards but I'm still waiting to get the email (they say up to 72 hrs) to become a verified author... I'll let you know if I don't get it by the end of tomorrow.
