Kara to prepare first draft of a Translator Position Piece for publication in a peer-reviewed journal. Draft will be circulated to other Translator team members for comment/feedback. Kara to identify an appropriate journal.

Kara contacted Jim Evans, Editor-in-Chief of Genetics in Medicine. Jim was not optimistic about our odds of publishing a position piece in a medical journal. He suggested that we instead explore informatic journals. I share Jim's concerns and think we should reconsider our publication plan and explore other publication avenues (e.g., white paper).

Current draft was distributed to C. Austin on 6/15/18. To be distributed to full author list by COB 6/22/2018.

Both commentaries were accepted for publication (9/6/18) and are now in press. Consortium-wide press release is planned.
