Session title: Ingredients for Precision Health Data Success: Sharing, mHealth & Clinical Decision Support: Sept. 12, 9:00 am-12:15 pm -- Speakers from RENCI, Duke University, Geisinger Health System and Bluedoor will discuss harnessing data for patient-centric research, demonstrating the value of precision medicine for population health, and how to get providers to prescribe mHealth solutions.
Biomedical Data Translator Project – Kimberly Robasky, RENCI · Harnessing data for patient-centric research: Find out about new Precision Medicine frameworks to 1) support biomarker development by combining multi-modal data, everything from medications to environmental exposures, and 2) support point-of-care with multi-modal data, such as integrated genotype/phenotype views of patient records. In this talk, we provide an update on the latest in data science, engineering and analytics for integrated health datasets.
Kara, Steve, Jim, Kimberly, Alex, and Charles Schmitt (NIEHS) met with Chris Waller of EPAM Systems to provide an overview of the Translator program and to identify areas of potential synergy.
Kara to develop a new use case with NIEHS EPR (Shepherd Schurman).
Charles Schmitt (Director, NIEHS Office of Data Science) met with Green Team to provide an overview of his proposal to develop and execute use cases that align with Green Team's efforts on the Translator and Data Commons projects.
UNC Creativity Hub for a Carolina Knowledge Network was submitted but denied funding. Efforts are underway to continue work on the project.
Meeting to be scheduled with NIEHS - Shepherd Schurman, Charles Schmitt. Attendees: Green Team, NCATS (Christine, Dena). Tentative date is Wednesday 1 pm, 2/21/18. Purpose is to provide an overview of the NIEHS Data Commons and their asthma driving use case. Secondary purpose is to provide introductions between NIEHS and NCATS.
Meeting with FPG (Desiree Murray) was facilitated by OSR and scheduled, but subsequently cancelled (per Desiree's request). Attendees: Steve, Kara, Ashok. Purpose was to discuss synergies between our CKN Creativity Hub proposal and Desiree's proposal.
