We need to talk to Hober about what the future holds for the srcset spec.
We've obsoleted the old srcset in the picture spec.
is now the same as
(e.g. integrates with sizes
).
I’ll miss the old srcset
. I will.
(No I won’t.)
(Thanks for the reminder, @grigs—meant to post something here the other day.)
We kicked off this discussion with @hober last week—we’re gonna work on merging the real-world srcset
in picture.responsiveimages.org with the W3C version of the spec. @hober, what’s the best way to kick that off? Filing some issues?
Sorry about closing and reopening the issue. Fat fingered the button before I was ready to comment.
Made some tweaks to the page to get us by until the specs are consolidated and the links can be updated.
Forgot to mention that other tweaks are in 93e5155778c787328fe1ff7345d6dcafd8d460bb
So can we close this issue now as it’s live on our site?
No, this is still there. Removing it now.
We should link to http://picture.responsiveimages.org/#relationship-to-srcset instead.
