Fix to JSON issues view and giving up on patching core issues API view #25

Here I include a fix for the JSON view.

I looked into how not to entirely override the core issues API view but couldn't find an obvious way to do it. I guess there may be some way to do with with hooks but it wouldn't be very clean.
