less clutter/fewer buttons: reduced risk of legacy vulnerabilities #90

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. With v.13 a compatibility mode with older versions was introduced for the rare need of connecting a newer assistant with an older assisted. It is unclear to me what the use case for this would be, due to the following considerations:

Describe the solution you'd like Context: Connection Removal of function: compatibility mode

Describe alternatives you've considered If the function is needed, then this could be considered a rare need, and thus could be moved to Context: Settings to reduce clutter of Context: Connection.

Additional context There might be good reasons that I am not aware of, then this feature request should be ignored.

I get your point, but from my experience, the assisted often depend the assistant to manage/update their programs :)

Especially versions before Lucky Lobster VII were installed using downloaded binaries - as at this time only Linux users had the privilege to get self-updating binaries from a store.

This is why I prefer to keep the compatibility mode for a while.

OK, I understand. To consider: moving it to Context: Settings, as there will be fewer and fewer that need to use the function over time (last version before Lucky Lobster VII was released 4 years ago - in a few weeks time)
