Mario Cant Run Up Slabs/Stairs

Bug Description Attempting to walk up slabs will cause Mario to run against it instead of walking up it. Yes I know this is likely because of Mario 64's physics and the unfortunate size of slabs, and I understand if you don't wanna change it. However I (and I assume many others) find it very annoying to jump every time you want to walk up a stair case and likely bonk your head from running too fast.

To Reproduce

1. Find/Place a slab
2. Try to walk up it as Mario

This is how it works normally, as you stated. Mario steps up much smaller. If this is added it should 100% be configurable.
