I like the idea, even if you can get a lot of information on the internet
Should also include jobs and tools, maybe directly connected so you can view the building techtree, see the metalworks and then you can directly switch to the tool-job tree
I'd even go as far to extend this to a working help function within the whole game plus some kind of html/pdf (the latter can be produced easily) documentation for players.

Siedler 1 contains a techtree view displaying the current utilisation of this ressources (eg. too much coal, but still missing iron),
it would be nice to have a kind of techtree in the game. so you could see the relationships between buildings and the requirements of them. Maybe in Categories like 'Ressources', 'Military', 'Food'?
Just something like that :)
