Sorry not happening. This editor needs a major overhaul incorporating it with the rest of the code base (common map format, types, renderer, ...)
It is in the state as it was (with minor improvements) and kinda integrated with RttR. I don't want to add features as the code will become even more messy. Once we have something like a common map format and renderer we can consider adding new things to the editor but that won't be anytime soon unless someone starts working on the redesign

Well - if nothing is added, it doesn't matter if the code is messy or not, is it? I mean nobody needs to maintain code if nothing changes. I'm afraid nobody will ever do a rework that satisfies all requirements for adding it to RttR.
But it's okay for me as I know how to place them, just thought would be nice for other mappers as well.

I meant: Adding more to the mess results in a greater mess that is even harder to untangle
Is there any sort of organized task list for the "untangling" that must be fully resolved before this feature request could be attempted? Even if its just a high level list it might be helpful in providing a goal to work toward incrementally or at least motivation to start.
@Spikeone do you have a link to the external tools
you use to place otherwise un-available doodads?
hey @matthewhively You can download a compiled version here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eLwJG0xu_cJAaoYq1sRTTHR4hcB3MuKw/view?usp=drive_link The sourcecode is here: https://github.com/Spikeone/RttR_Campaigns/tree/master/ObjektPlacement
The new editor should allow users to place special objects. Currently one has to use external tools to do so.
