Ginga Ojōsama Densetsu Yuna (Galaxy Fraulein Yuna) - Intermittent/random post-battle crashes (vanilla Japanese version and English translation patch) #15

DEVICE: SHDS3 Pro CD BIOS: Super CD-ROM System (Japan) (v3.0) FIRMWARE: 1.01 R6 SEEK-TIME EMULATION: On ALTERNATE CD PROGRAM: On ARCADE CARD: On DUMP: Ginga Ojousama Densetsu Yuna (Japan) (FAFT) - http://redump.org/disc/29922/

To replicate this issue, either the original Japanese version of the game can be used, or the English translation. Attached are save files for both versions.

After booting game, select "CONTINUE" and then load first save slot. You'll need to proceed through a bit of dialogue before eventually entering the battle. Note that whether you win or lose the battle doesn't matter. The crash may occur after the battle ends, it may not. It happens randomly, although going through the process of loading this save file and letting the battle end a few times should result in at least one crash.

EDIT: I have discovered that turning off Arcade Card mitigates crash for this particular battle, but next battle after crashes regardless of Arcade Card status.

EDIT 2: Disabling seek-time emulation prevented crashing on the second battle after this save file.

EDIT 3: After additional testing, it seems that different battles cause crashes under different conditions. In my experience, the Arcade Card must always be off, then toggle between seek-time emulation on/off until the crash doesn't occur. Note that when you encounter the next battle, you may experience a crash again, in which case you must reverse the current seek-time emulation status (i.e., on/off).

EDIT 4: I eventually encountered a part of the game (when meeting the girl who plays violin) beyond which I could not progress no matter what.
