Hi, This is quite a large pull request in summary the following changes have occurred:

• Replace Log::Log4perl with Log::Dispatch:
  • The motivation behind this was to simplify logging to the cli and log files
  • It now has a Screen output and a Logfile:
  • Logfile
    • is configured in the repositorio.conf as "LogFile = /path/to/file.log"
    • the level of messages is configured as "LogFileLevel = debug|info|warning..." defaults to info
    • Logfile is now optional (people may just wish to use the stdout in cron for logs)
  • Screen
    • the level of messages is configure as "ScreenLevel = debig|info|warning..." defaults to notice
  • The majority of logging is now centralised, the only exception is for --list and --help which made sense to keep as is
• sub progress_bar (Term::Progress::Bar) has been stripped, it didnt work well with this centralised logging class...it has been changed in favour of just printing a line with "$x/$y doing something" where $x is the current amount and $y is the total, this was done mainly for real world use of automating updating repositories (ie keeping a mirror of 100 different repositories this progress bar was of little use and had no way to turn it off)
• sub print_info has been stripped, simplification of logging as per above
• --log-level flag added which allows you to override the ScreenLevel configured for this run
• --checksums flag was added and if supplied will do package checksums, the default behaviour is now just checking the size of the package against the file as this is far faster in large repositories and the nature of packages is that they do not change in size.
  • all metadata files will still use checksums, only packages have changed With the size check default, on an nfs system with a repository with ~100 rpms in it, updating the mirror without new upstream package changes using size only: 1.481s using checksums: 37.606s
• refactored 'sub download' to handle retrying more gracefully
• refactored 'sub _download_binary_file' to actually retry and gracefully like sub download
• split off checksums for sha to its own sub to be consistent with the rest of the types
• added checksum for size, this is the default behaviour as mentioned above for packages
• minor formatting changes
• This also includes djzorts changes + fixes to them
• refactored sub get_repo_dir

I had to do some fixes regarding the directory calculation but i think it will not break your directories (if you use BottomDir)

We had some issues with speed as well as outputs and repository management for tags and releases. which you have some of the patches. So we basically started from scratch with the same sort of concepts. You can see the code at https://github.com/nodeintegration/nrepo its working from a mirror and custom repository standpoint on yum.
