This PR aims to make the contributing information on the website both simpler and more up-to-date.
Since we have nice resources to learn about how to contribute to various aspects of the project, I think it makes sense to just simply link to them in order to avoid duplication (and to avoid the need to maintain the same info in multiple places).
So I did that for the code, docs and website topics, and cleaned up + reworded the rest.
