added a small section on using gt #54

started a small gt section. it's hard to know how much to add since there's so much that you can do with the package so I'd appreciate some feedback!

this addresses #50

Looks great to me. I think this scope is appropriate for the docs; note that the thing exists, situate it a bit among other packages, and link out. Just made a few line edits--if Leila or Ingrid could give this a once over and merge, that'd be awesome. :-)
