small edits to the "refactoring levels in plots" section!

Also a small note for @zolli22:

if you look back at kbott's commit titled "a round of edits; tightening up spots ...", you can see the two different ways that we've tried wording the section which lists small syntax errors to look for when troubleshooting your code. Kbott and I are having a hard time deciding which one we like more, so a third persons input would be super nice!

I think I like the current version better. Having the items posed as questions is helpful as kind of like a checklist!
