Application behaves as if all foreign keys are required

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start crank-crud-webapp
2. Navigate to new Employee
3. Fill all required fields but leave department empty
4. Press  "Create Employee"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
- I expect the new record i screated but I receove an error message
"Required" near th edepartment selection component.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
