Right now, subspecies are ignored from the Vermont taxonomy. It'd be great to be able to map out where you've seen subspecies. This'll require creating a new list of all possible subspecies from the main eBird taxonomy, which is ignored at the moment as it's so large and it doesn't apply to birdinginVermont, in general.
