Downloaded cover images crash USB Loader back to Homebrew Channel when trying to display. #171

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download Cover Images (This time I did the 3D images)
2. Wait until they are done, when download completes, the Loader crashes.
When reopeing the Loader, it crashes again
3. Checked the images on my SD card in Windows, all but one are corrupted
or something, a sample is attached, one that didn't work (Sam and Max:
Season One), and one that did (Wii Sports).

I am currently using r238.

I should add. After I deleted all the messed up images off my SD card and
checked in
the Loader, the one that apparently downloaded correctly (Wii Sports) displays
fine.

Another update, When I attempted to download covers again more of them
downloaded
correctly this time, though a few of them still don't. Seems like the problem
is on
the loader's end (Or my SD card, I guess, but it has never given me problems
before).

if at all its a probolem on the server side. not ours. because it works great
for
other people and from time to time it has some issues because of the server
having
trouble to handle all the downloads.

Well, perhaps you could add in something to stop the loader from crashing when
it
gets a corrupted image at least? If that's possible.

corrupted image? i never saw something like that. how can you get a corrupted
image?

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Well, I don't know if corrupted is the right word, but the first image I
attached
there, when the loader tries to display it the loader crashes back to the
homebrew menu.

did you check one of the newer revs and does it still crash?

Right now I'm using r277 (I think) It crashes now when it tries to download
certain
files instead of downloading them. I get a code dump screen then but I am not
sure
what to past in here.

I will grab the latest version in a bit and give you what you need, if you
could tell
me what that is.

Ok, I just got the code dump in r289. I'm not going to copy the big long thing
at the
top (I wish this output to a text file or something) but it says:

STACK DUMP:

I just tried again after updating to r300 and I got different numbers in the
dump:

STACK DUMP:
80a24f10 --> 80a24f1c --> 80ab2c30

Code Dump:
80a24f10: 8129001C 7D2903A6 4E800421 817F0094

80a24f30: 7C0B0050 7C001670 7F890040 419CFFC4

Are these helping at all? Let me know, and if I should test a specific revision
next
time you update.
