GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Set IOS 222 in global config
2. Set IOS 222 in a game setting
3. Start game

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I get an error: "Failed to set USB: Error: -128"

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Tested with r271 and r277

Please provide any additional information below.

This has to be due to you having the wrong cIOS222. Only the older cIOS222 USB2
DIP
from Hermes works. The newest from him doesnt work!

Sorry, I should have explain it better.

I have old cIOS 222 (the one for uLoader 1.4).

I have set cIOS 222 for starting up the loader, and it is working properly
because my
HDD is recognized (cIOS 249 do not recognize it).

I am able to play all my games with cIOS 222 from Hermes uLoader 1.4, but when
I try
to use your loader with cIOS 222 I get that error. I have testes several games
and is
always the same.

If I set cIOS 249 the loader just hangs. I suppose it is because with that IOS
the
loader is not able to access my HDD, so it freezes.

Hi, I've tested with rev289 and I get the same error (Failed to set USB: Error:
-128).

Also I forgot to comment that once i get the error I lose all downloaded covers
and
disc images, in stead I see default images.

If I exit and then enter again into the loader I can see all my covers again.

this must be a wrong cIOS i am pretty sure of it. Look through the thread there
is
one cIOS222 posted by MAFIA and reposted by me somewhere. This one works for
sure. It
worked for everyone why would it not work for you?

After installing cIOS 222 that you recommended in GBAtemp forum, I get this new
error:
"Failed to boot: Error: -2".
If I have a DVD inserted then I get no error and the DVD game is started, but
no the
game from HDD.

I've tested it with r293.

More info. After getting that error I lose all my covers and disc images. The
same as
when we got Error -128. (I will open a new issue for this)

Anyway, I have find a way to make it work:
If I:
1.- Select a game
2.- Press the image disc to start the game
3.- ERROR -2

But if I:
1.- Select a game
2.- Go to setting
3.- Go back without doing anything
4.- Press the image disc to start the game
5.- IT WORKS :)

The .elf r300 do not load. The procedure I followed was:

- I have renamed .elf to boot.dol and replace the old boot.dol
- Launch the loader as always
- But nothing happens, I remain in the HBC: No black screen, no freezes,
nothing...

Am I doing something wrong?

Original comment by luk...@gmail.com on 9 May 2009 at 12:03

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
through HBC you can load elf without renaming

Original comment by dimok...@hotmail.de on 10 May 2009 at 2:32

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
Finally I could load a .elf renaming it to "boot.elf", but the problem
continues.

Tested with r309.elf

If I try to load a game directly I get an error -2, after that I lose all my
covers
(this means that Issue 227 is not solved yet).

But if I go previously to game setting and the launch the game, the game loads
correctly without any error.

When I go to game settings and then go back without doing any thing (just
pressing
back button), something have to be done that makes the games work.

I have more news, tested with r319

- If I start directly a game I get Error -2
- If I go to setting and select CIOS 249 I get Error -2
- If I go to setting and select CIOS 222 it works
- If I go to setting and select CIOS 222, save the config, exit loader and
start it
again and start directly a game I get Error -2

In my opinion cios configuration is not been taken unless you go previously to
game
settings.
