I migrated to Markdown Monster from a different editor. Sufficed to say I am very happy I made the switch. The only thing I am missing from the previous app is the way it handled clipboard content, when pasted into the document. If I were to open an article or forum thread on any page, CTRL+A the whole page, and then paste it into the app, the result would almost always be markdown formatted content. The exception was when that content included code blocks, which rather then being pasted as fenced code blocks in markdown, it would be the raw html content with lines of code separated by and the rest. That said, it was still very convenient and made clipping web content a very smooth process.
With Markdown Monster, maybe I am doing something wrong, but I have never been able to get the same result. It is almost always pasted as plain text. This makes sense, when the open document is .txt or some other extension, but not when it is a markdown file. It would be amazing if we could 'tell' MM to prefer pasting the rich-formatted content of the clipboard rather than the text, when the active document is of the type that supports such content, e.g. *.md, *html, and the like.
Example:
To clarify:
The screenshot is two apps side by side. App "X" on the left is open in editor|preview (side-by-side) mode, and of course, the editor pane of Markdown Monster on the right. The content in both documents is the same clipboard content, copied once from a web page, and then pasted into both documents consecutively.
