MPEG 2 encoding #34

I am trying to create a DCP with MPEG2 content. I know opencinematools
supports J2K only, but looks like asdcp accepts MPEG2. the asdcp-test.exe
is not accepting .mpg file with MPEG2 video, nor it is accepting an AVI
with MPEG2 coded video. please tell me how to make opencinematools or asdcp
accept MPEG2 input. its ok if some coding is to be done to make it work,
i'll give it a try.

I was searching for a forum or a mailing list for opencinematools and
asdcp, but could not find any. If there is one please give send me a link
(ramprasad85 at gmail.com). I could not even contact the owner of
opencinematools regarding this, so am posting here. sorry about it.

Thank you

thank you

I got it working.
I had to encode the video in MPEG2 Elementary Stream ie .m2v, asdcp-test
accepted the
.m2v and created the mxf beautifully.
Is there a forum for opencinematools? does opencinematools have a google group
like
many other projects have. I could not even contact marc.vandenbosch
Thank you

It doesn't get much groupier than this forum here (which is the opencinematools
forum,
obviously). It is a low-traffic forum with the occasional outbursts of
brilliance and
quality time.
