Dreambox crashes on start after installing project-valerie #298

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download all updates for DM8000 (base Image: DreamMultimedia 3.1.0)
2. Install project-valerie
3. Box crashes after welcome screen from project-valerie apperars

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the product are you using?
Revision?
project-valerie_rev984_mipsel_oe16.ipk

Please provide any additional information below.

There seems to be an issue while installing valerie as at least one file is 
missing.

Could you provide us with a log of the following command?
opkg install 
"http://project-valerie.googlecode.com/files/project-valerie_rev984_mipsel_oe16.
ipk"

could you please chekc if you have the following file?

usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/ProjectValerie/DMC_Wizard_DE.xml

Installed Rev. 986 again, file is there. But the problem still exists.

mhmm interesting. still crashing within the wizard?

please try the following thing...

go to /etc/enigma2/ and edit the settings file. 

alter or add the following line

config.pluginspvmc.showwizard=true

to

config.pluginspvmc.showwizard=false

this will prevent starting the wizard. 

let me know if this helps.

Downloaded rev989 today. Now it works.

But rev989 prompts for a newer version available: rev984 ?!

Perhaps you have configured Valerie to only check for "release" builds?
