Xposed has been around since forever,
I'm sure a new maintained fork of it will pop up eventually.

Here's a list of the past of Xposed repo's:	Supported Versions	Repo
Android 8.1 - 14	LSPosed + Shamiko
Android 8 - 11	EdXposed
Android 5 - 8	Original Xposed

I did some research as to the reason why they archived,
sadly because they where relentlessly harassed and insulted...

We can keep this issue open to keep track of upcoming maintained forks though.

Did some more searching and currently there appear to be 3 active forks of LSPosed which show potential of becoming a final successor:	Supported Versions	Repo	Fork Type
Android 8.1 - 15	JingMatrix/LSPosed	Soft Fork
Android 8.1 - 15 Beta 2.1	mywalkb/LSPosed_mod	Hard Fork
Android 8.1 - 14	CMDQ8575/LSPosed	Soft Fork

The supported versions are prone to change over time,
and another active fork may pop up and take over as well.

@arnii5 reported good results on XDA with JingMatrix/LSPosed on Android 15.
Tested with Belfius-Root instead of Android-Auto-XLauncher-Unlocked though.
