On the contrary, I did get Mischief Makers to run fine.
My notes:
Some fade effects are missing, some text renders in black instead of white. In-game is mostly correct, but certain objects have obvious outlines and transparencies (i.e. text boxes and effects) are represented by, or transition into, black. Some entities are far more black than they should be.

I could get the game to work, just had to skip the opening movie. (US rom)
Really? What were your settings? I still have not been able to get it to work.
I would also note, the top-left sprite 'glitch' is, far as we can tell, normal - GlideN64 does much the same thing, and considering it's in the overscan area that you're typically not able to see, it might be safe to assume it's a developmental oversight? The screenshots after the menu don't show it, so, eh.

(This has been around for a couple of commits, about a week's worth or two? But) Lifebar doesn't update as it should (aside from Marina's reaction face), whether receiving damage or recovering. Lifebar difference doesn't update until after exiting and loading a stage.
Sections of text are still missing (see above) unless you enable texture caching, advance a text box and let it complete (note that texture caching breaks animations and text boxes updating), then disable.
After initial loading of a stage, it seems to run at fullspeed in-game.
Opening movie and some other graphical glitches are fixed using the modern renderer introduced with 0.4
This game no longer runs. Modern renderer does not work to get past the start screen anymore. It loads up to the start screen then freezes after that, no cpu mode seems to work either. This is with the 0.6 version. Tested with a fat vita on enso 3.6.
Mischief Makers (U) Using Dx64 v0.6 nightly (ba53a2)
Settings: Dyna - Modern rend - audio rate sync
Game plays great. Steady 60fps. Graphics are good. Text boxes are missing letters in center. 4 characters are missing from the center of each line. If you need to read them....set texture cache to fast...engage in convoy...empty text box appears....switch to text cache accurate....now you can read it. Other than that, very playable.

Game crashes immediately after pressing start (the emu crashes as well) on both dynarec and interpreter. Also when loading company logos there are glitches in the top left of the screen
