2 years ago Having played it on the Vita for a while, I have to say that the Vita is the definitive platform to enjoy this game on. For multiple reasons:
- The game's resolution is 320x180, 3x of which is 960x540 = Vita's native res (minus 4 lines of pixels). That means that the game's pixel art gets scaled perfectly and looks amazing!
- The game UI has its weapon selector and powerups at the left and right sides of the screen, respectively, and are tappable as buttons. That allows for quick activation of any powerup by touching it on the Vita's screen, instead of cycling through them by using a single hardware button. (Weapons are better to be cycled through by L/R still, though.) Makes me wonder why the dev didn't release the game on Vita natively...
- The performance is solid 30, even at lower clocks.
The game itself is awesome, btw. Looks and plays great, makes an impression that a lot of care and imagination were put in every aspect of it. Liked it on Android, love it on the Vita!
