Kao the Kangaroo (PAL) #190

The game runs at 20-30 fps, sometimes dipping below 20 fps in larger more open areas. The first level is almost entirely 20-30 FPS though. The game feels smooth in most sections, but the audio makes it feel much worse. It could benefit from a 20/30 FPS patch. Deserves to get working as Kao the Kangaroo 2 is on PSP, meaning you could play almost every Kao the Kangaroo on the Vita.

Menu / Intro - 45-60 FPS. Dipping down periodically when more happens on screen.

Gameplay - 20-30 FPS. It feels smooth in some sections, audio just makes it feel much worse.

Changing to 3.75 downclock improves performance by a smidge, and makes audio less laggy and more bearable. Setting float ops gamehack to On and SMC Checks to Off, also improved performance by a fraction. Still far from playable.

Footage of the sound issue if anyone is curious. Comparing performance with both.
