maybe special character in url is the problem "~". And can it using page title instead pageid for directory ?

This issue has been fixed( #1272) . Should be working in next release.

Page titles tend to be too long, which might cause issues for Windows users.

i think ripme should have option for title, limited xxx character from folder name so user can limit specific xxx character for folder name to avoid long path. gallery-dl is pretty good about this side, it have metadata tags for filename,foldername also :)
