Where do certain ships spawn? Do tourists only spawn on the corners of the map? What about fishermen?

Right now, all ships (with the exception of the two starting units) spawn at the eight corners of the map, i.e. W, NW, N, NE, E, SE, S, SW. See the cells defined here.
