Lets wait on this until we have the Information Architect review and graphic artist update all our icons.
WebRAVE and QRAVE now use the same icons.
We can also enhanced the XML to make it possible to distinguish geometry types in ArcRAVE. I have even begun the process of implementing them. It's just fallen down in priority. It's close though.

Not a high priority at moment. Thanks for update. Given your answer, it seems like this belongs over in RiverscapesXML? Should we transfer issue to where it will actually be actioned? Or do we need an enhancement in to ArcRAVE that works the same way WebRAVE and QRAVE do?
Correction.... The XML is already enhanced. The remaining work is just in arcrave.
I had ArcRAVE distinguishing between geometry types, but this code appears to be lost. I suspect it was on my old tower before I had the double hard drive failure.
It's a low priority. Punting on this for milestone 3.1
Currently all vector layers are displayed with the ArcCatalog icon for polygons. There is no differentiation made between point, line and polygon geometry types.
