Hangs at " Checking connection quality..."

Running MAC OS X 10.6.2 Snow Leopard
on a 1.83 GHz Core Dual MAcbook Pro 15"

Launched the GUI namebench version 1.0.5

Left Default settings
Clicked on "START BENCHMARK"

Hangs at  "Checking connection quality..."

Nothing more happens.
Let it go 8 hours like this

Tried many times
Always hangs

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Can you check if namebench 1.1b1 has the same issue? The timeouts for this 
check are 
now much less (10 seconds), though it does try twice.

Ok
Tried with 1.1b1 version for Mac.
Same performance.
Keeps spinning as if it has hanged.
No "Time out" notification.
Just doesn't work.

Hey timbdi, thanks for trying. Can you do me a favor and try running this 
program on your Mac:

/Applications/Utilities/Console

Then click the "Clear Display" button up top, and run namebench. 

Could you copy and paste the last 5 lines displayed in the Console into this 
bug? I'm not sure it will show 
anything yet, but it will at least tell me where to start investigating and 
adding more debugging. Thanks!

I've added a few extra diagnostics lines to the final namebench 1.1 release, 
but I'm still 
not quite sure what the problem is. Do you mind trying it again and pasting the 
console 
output?
