HARDWARE: HTC EVO 4G LTE
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. connect to a host, session title appears, then fades out.
2. tap the screen; [Ctrl] [Esc] [::__::] (keyboard) appear, session title
appears mid-screen and does not go away.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected result is that the session title will eventually vanish or, better,
should not appear on a screen tap in the first place.
What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
ConnectBot 1.7.1 (v1.7.1 2010.10.08)
What type of system are you trying to connect to?
NetBSD, Linux, doesn't really matter...
If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?
echo $TERM => "xterm-color",
uname -a => "Linux host.in.work.domain 3.6.11-1.fc16.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Dec 17
