Gaussian Process pytorch library - can we replace GPlayer class with this ?

• gpytorch is a Gaussian Process library.
• Above is an example of simple linear expression
• The question is if GPlayer is doing GP then can that be replaced by this gpytorch and can we get same results. what is advantage disadvantage.

I am suggesting all this is for getting a deeper understanding of the GPlayer the author is using . By answering such questions it will help in better understanding .

An additional question is the kernel . How important is the kernel can it be changed ?
