undo of paste doesn't work #597

Describe the bug

After pasting, sometimes, you can't undo.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. ctrl+v to paste a text
  2. ctrl+z to undo the paste

result: Sometimes nothing happens (try typing a few words and then ctrl+v). sometimes an undo would occur after clicking ctrl+z a few times.
