Conflicting displays between devices #644

Tweet describing the issue here

Moving some blocks around on one device leads to duplication of the block in both its original and new location.

Green sync dot suggests everything was transferred but the blocks are appearing in multiple locations and the ordering of blocks is getting mixed up in the block's original location.

The following images show the same two pages on two different devices. The first images shows 5 blocks, each with their own sub-blocks (attributes) that have been moved from Content Database to Content Library page.

The second image shows the same two pages on another device. The blocks are duplicated on both pages rather than having been moved to the Content Library page. Selecting some of the blocks selects them on both pages somehow. Furthermore note the mixed up number bullets on the Content Database page (no number 1 & 2, but two 6s and 7s) demonstrating the conflict.

Using latest version of Roam. Device 1 is Surface Laptop with Windows 10, device 2 is Mac mini with Mac OS Catalina. Browser is Chrome / Vivaldi.

This issue seems to have come up as the graph has grown very large and I'm wondering if it also relates to the heavy use of attributes on this database page. Each time I use the app I am seeing big problems whenever I switch devices. Please advise any fix. Thank you!

Thanks Nick
