High memory use on Safari on Mac OSX #676

on Safari on OSX I have seen the Roam page where I've been editing pages climb to 1GB & more memory allocation.

This slows the whole machine down. Closing the roam tab makes the whole device spring back to life.

Memory leak, or just unconstrained JVM?

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Open Roam in Safari on Mac OSX laptop
  2. Edit pages and visit others
  3. Repeat a few time ... for a week or so.
  4. Computer slows to a crawl
  5. check memory consumption using Activity Monitor
  6. Close tab in Safari
  7. Computer returns to normal speed
