Unlink Finder just straight up doesn't work for me #28

I have Unlink Finder enabled in my auto tag settings, and turned on and showed above. But it's just straight up not working for aliases or exact matches or anything like that. Any idea why? I included a screenshot below.

As shown below, "Containers" is an alias for the "Container" page and "Pods" for "Pod" Screenshot 2023-11-14 at 12 36 06 PM

Sorry you are experiencing this issue!

Unfortunately, I can't seem to replicate the issue.

Couple of things we could do to try and debug:

These are the Roam Depot settings I currently have enabled. And I've also attached the settings I have for Auto Tag specifically.

Thanks @mdroidian for following up on this! Appreciate you jumping in

I disabled all other Roam Depot plugins I had temporarily and tried Unlink Finder to no avail.

I also did the good ol' fashioned uninstall & reinstall of Auto Tag to no avail.

Basically, I really love Unlink Finder and just want to use Unlink Finder specifically since sometimes auto-tagging works unintentionally with my workflow (and therefore it'd be more helpful to handpick the links as they come up in Unlink Finder than automatically tag them).

I use Aliases:: for many of my pages to define synonyms so I would love for Unlink Finder to work with that.

Interesting. With these settings I am still not able to reproduce the error.

Here are some additional things you could try:

@nstebbins I had the same issue and it was caused by aliases without commas between them. For instance, if you don't have a comma between any these it won't work. One way to quickly determine if your Aliases page is the culprit is to temporarily rename it.
