Workbench alerts not working on iPhone and Android #462

Open BasicPulse opened 7 months ago

BasicPulse commented 7 months ago

The workbench extension alert feature fails to deliver notifications through the browsers (Chrome, Safari and Samsung internet) on Android and iPhone.

I just tested on a Samsung Tablet with Chrome Browser and could not reproduce.

Just FYI, alerts currently only work on the device you set them on. Were you setting them on the device?

Hello Michael,

Thanks for responding. Yes. I set the alerts on my iphone and Samsung phone using Safari and chrome, respectively.

I just installed Unexpected Keyboard for android (to be able to get to the command palette) and tested it and couldn't reproduce the issue again.

What do you put for "When", "Message" and "Allow Notification"? And what does it show when you hit Schedule? If you could post screenshots, that would be great. 👍

Also, could you try the following in chrome:

When: "In a minute" Message: "Test" Allow Notification: unchecked

Lastly, could you check your [[roam/js]] page to see if the older version of workbench is still installed.
