What is the ADRIS-T firmware? #11

Hey, I'm just curious what the ADRIS-T firmware is that you have listed under TODO in RITower.md. Is it going to be a custom OpenWRT based firmware from Roaming Initiative for the Omnitik?

I have yet to find a working OpenWRT image for an Omnitik, and it looks like not much effort has been put into making one from my research, but the hardware in the Omnitik is supported by OpenWRT, just gotta figure out how to get OpenWRT to run on the device without bricking it.

Yeah, I forgot to define that acronym. A Distro for Roaming Initiative Software. ADRIS-T is the tower version, so it's based on OpenWRT, and includes the necessary software to act as a high-bandwidth mesh relay and (optionally) a CVI gateway.

The lack of working images is unfortunate, to say the least. Let me know if you have any success.

Interesting acronym there, I was wondering what it meant. Having a CVI gateway built in is a good idea, depending on how you set up CVI gateways it might hurt performance though.

As to working images, all around we need more OpenWRT developers to work on Project Meshnet & Roaming Initiative projects, as we could use some added support from openwrt for these platforms, and cjdns could perform much faster if it were optimized for MIPS.
