What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. vttest 
2. category 8th test
3. test #2 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see: Top line: A's, bottom line: X's, and description line, nothing 
more.
Saw instead: only Top line A and the description line is visible.
