Just boot up with: http://elinux.org/BeagleBoardUbuntu#BeagleBone.2FBeagleBone_Black
then
sudo dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/mmcblk1
to wipe the old bootloader.. then the netinstall will work just fine...
Thanks, I didn't see anything about the bootloader changes before updating my image.
I ran:
sudo ./mk_mmc.sh --mmc /dev/sdb --dtb am335x-boneblack --distro trusty-armhf --serial-mode

In #31, you said to remove the old eMMC bootloader first. I can't find instructions to do so.
