Hi, I have used the prebuilt Image for Meego from the below website.

http://wiki.meego.com/ARM/Meego_on_Beagleboard_from_scratch

And i have used the Kernel version 3.0.3-x2 of Mr.Robert Nelson.

I replaced the Uimge built with the prebuilt image and extracted the Modules using Tar command.

And i booted it Boots on serial port terminal showing 3.0.3-x2 version correctly but not on the Dvi Display. This is the Error shown:"INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled"

Could anybody please help me on it .Because i have already wasted a month Researching on it.

Please advice.....................................

Thankyou

Hello,

I've not heard about that error. So does the DVI try to come up but then dies and goes into a power save mode or??

Looking at google, this post looks interesting: http://forum.meego.com/showthread.php?t=447

I like this message, in the bug report.. https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=16780#c4

How nice of them, "wait for" when it's broken.. ;)

Regards,

Hi Robert, Thanks for showing up, really i feel strong now.

I've not heard about that error. So does the DVI try to come up but then dies and goes into a power save mode or??

Answer: In the Dvi display iam getting this Message again and again.

"INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled" "INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled" "INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled" "INIT: Id "x" respawning too fast: disabled"

In some forums they said that this is due to X11 not starting. Any suggestion Robert?

I have also tried an another Image that is for tablet. in that image No error Messages at all.I can see the Mouse cursor in the Black Background at the starting. After some time My Desktop splitted into four. Three white screens and one Black screen at this time I can't see any Mouse cursor at all. Do you ever heard abt this problem Mr.Robert? Thanks

Hi Robert, In the prebuilt image they were using this Kernel 2.6.38-rc6-d3.2+,which showing the display. I also want to try it with this version. Will it help me? Do you have the link for this version?.

is this the same image that your using now? (aka, the image worked, but then upgraded to 3.0.x? and then stopped)..

To me, it looks like a (xorg) user space issue..

selvabha commented 13 years ago

yes it worked with the kernel 2.6.38-rc6-d3.2+. which comes with the prebuilt image .After that i want to create own drivers so i used a kernel 3.0. it is not working now......:(
