4 months ago I have found a solution via a friendly Discord user. If anyone is interested in using this Freecam mod with another mod that also uses a "code.ips" file, follow the steps below. With this method I combined Freecam and Better Link for OoT3DS.
Make sure you have Java installed on your PC.
Download IPSMerge tool from here.
Place the IPSMerge.jar tool in a folder on your computer. Rename the code.ips files you want to merge into something easy like "code1.ips," "code2.ips," "code3.ips" etc. Place .ips files in the same folder as the tool.
Run cmd.exe as administrator. Navigate to the folder where the above files are stored.
Run the following command, using the appropriate .ips file names you've renamed: java -jar IPSMerge.jar code1.ips code2.ips code3.ips
A new "code.ips" file will be created in the same folder and this is the newly merged .ips file!
Is it possible to merge two mods? I am currently using Skilar's "Better Link" mod for my 3ds hardware, and it includes the file "code.ips" for it to work. I want to use your free cam mod, but it also comes with its own "code.ips" file. Is it possible to merge these two files in order to use both mods together? Thanks. Love your work!
