Well, we sort of do this. Check the Roberts Lab repo for repos that start with "project".
Of course, you're welcome to start something like this as you see fit. Could all discuss/contribute during next lab meeting?
@kubu4 thanks for pointing out the project repos. I'm thinking for this spreadsheet to be a quick overview of all those projects so one wouldn't have to go digging too deep. And great idea to discuss/contribute during lab meeting!
Based on discussions, it seems like the first step is everyone getting their "own stuff" in order then we aggregate said information...
@shellytrigg we started a Google Spreadsheet to get this started - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1nRSR_tgyslrJLXvKzhdtKx2iZLg1E7eKY0_-qzyS7OE/edit?usp=sharing
Everyone - the column names are not yet finalized, so please edit as needed. Goal is to be able to identify what type of samples, data, products, etc. we have from each experiment, with links to those things.
It would be really helpful to create a catalog of all the Roberts Lab projects so we can:
1) keep track of what's being done or already been done and 2) do meta-analyses on specific datasets
I know we have this spreadsheet for tracking individual genomic samples and this spreadsheet for tracking proteomics runs. For a project catalog, I'm imagining a simple google spreadsheet like this, with each line being a different project.
Anyone else already working on this or have any ideas about this?
