I got good quality RNA from coral embryos using Zymo Quick DNA/RNA Miniprep Plus and this protocol, I got better RNA quantity when I skipped the proteinase K digestion step (not entirely sure why)

Thanks Sarah! I have also used this protocol for corals - I'll let you know how it works for oysters!
