Create readme file template for use in all directories containing raw data. Decide on storage location for data management templates (e.g. resources/data_management_templates) and store template(s) there.

Added my C. gigas data and README.md files:

2017-01-23 2017-07-10

kubu4 commented 7 years ago

@yaaminiv - I'm not seeing readme files in any of the directories in either of those links.

laurahspencer commented 7 years ago

@kubu4 would you like me to create readme files for my P. generosa raw data folders as per a template? image

kubu4 commented 7 years ago

No template file has been created. Eventually someone will establish a template readme file which will make it easier/uniform to produce a readme file.

But, you should definitely put readme files in each of your directories, even if no template file exists (which it currently does not).

yaaminiv commented 7 years ago

@kubu4 I see them when I log into OWL:

Does this have anything to do with the fact that they're markdown files?

kubu4 commented 7 years ago

Ah! Actually, I think it has to do with the capitalization. Use all lowercase and then they should be listed in the publicly accessible index of the directories.

yaaminiv commented 7 years ago

@kubu4 fixed!

kubu4 commented 7 years ago

I just saw that. Nice! Boom!

Now, you just need readme files in the subdirectories, too... :)
