icons vignette #213

In the icons vignette, the constrained optimization at the end is badly behaved; the values are very different from one another. This should be discussed.

actually I was misreading that and the optimization is behaving perfectly well. But the document is difficult to understand [in particular the meaning of vector jj in the "final example" section glosses over quite a lot of detail.
