TAS-24-106 - A simplified Plackett-Luce likelihood function for rank orders
Dear Dr Hankin,
Thank you for submitting your manuscript to The American Statistician. However, before I forward your manuscript to the editor, the following formatting correction is required:
Please edit the in-text citations to follow ASA style. The basic style is Author/s Year; we do not use numbers to identify citations within the text. If you used LaTeX, this may be a latex-to-pdf conversion step which was missed.
If easily accomplished, please reformat the reference section to better follow ASA style. Authors should be listed by their last name followed by initials.
I appreciate your attention to these details.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Janet

RE: TAS-24-106, "A simplified Plackett-Luce likelihood function for rank orders"
Dear Dr Hankin:
Thank you for submitting the above manuscript for possible publication in The American Statistician (TAS). TAS receives many papers and can publish only a very small fraction. From a screen review and my own reading, we feel that the scope and depth of the development are limited especially for the general audience of TAS. Given the publication space constraint, we will not move your manuscript forward in TAS.
I'm sorry if this decision is disappointing for you. Whatever you decide to do with the paper, I wish you the best in finding it a proper venue.
Sincerely,
mxie@stat.rutgers.edu
