Bloom not working in Studio? #81

c__users_vanessa_documents_roblox_recentsaves_carmakor rbxl - roblox studio 11_6_2017 8_27_31 pm_li Whenever I turn on Bloom in this prototype of Roblox, it doesn't work. Each lightning technique doesn't help. Using the settings causes nothing to change. Every other component (blur, sunrays, etc.) works fine. Is it my computer? Above is a picture:

Biddn commented 6 years ago

pretty sure it doesn't work due to the fact that the prototype has a bloom system already

zeux commented 6 years ago

Bloom does work but it's hard to get it to actually bloom - you need to set the threshold to be pretty low, and even that sometimes doesn't help. It needs to be retuned to work with the new render pipeline since it's very non-intuitive now.

@zeux Ah, I see. However, I'm sure it might have to be edited in the future. I don't want to blind anyone (if there is a way to change from each render type ingame in the future).

WIth the new AE there'd probably be less bloom altogether, since in real life AE is meant to reduce the amount of bloom in order to get a more visible image.

okokok my bloom and sunrays weren't working but then i went to settings, rendering, and then i set the editqualitylevel higher than automatic. that should work

Should be fixed now, since we've reworked our postfx stack for phase 1 release to work properly
