We are looking at getting a Jetson TK1 ( https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/buy/jetson-tk1-devkit) which allows us to have really awesome vision magic, like you won't believe. (Will bring up something else very soon as well, hint camera hint) Why do we get to do really awesome vision magic? The Jetson TK1 is an onboard computer to handle all the image processing we do and works very well with OpenCv so we can do great things. Even comes with tutorials to do these great things ( http://elinux.org/Jetson_TK1#Tutorials_for_developing_with_Jetson_TK1).
It will be a bit until we are able to get this great device though because we are getting it through FIRST Choice with it being our number 1 priority item currently. Friday is the close of priority FC and then we will know if we are getting it (quite likely).
So the task: investigate Jetson TK1, OpenCV, and camera needs. The investigation as a part of this issue can be considered done when we are starting to make individual issues for those specific things.
